Happy Potting – Refund & Store Credit Policy

At Happy Potting, we take pride in sending you happy, healthy plants — packaged with care and love. While we do everything we can to ensure your plant arrives safely, sometimes things can go wrong in transit. Below is our refund and credit policy so you know exactly what to expect before placing an order.

Live Arrival Guarantee (UPS Next-Day Shipping Only)

We offer a Live Arrival Guarantee for customers who select UPS Next-Day Shipping at checkout. If your plant arrives dead, you are eligible for a full store credit for the plant’s value (excluding shipping), provided that:

You selected UPS Next-Day Shipping at checkout

You contact us within 24 hours of delivery

You provide an unboxing video showing:

The unopened shipping box

The packaging

The plant’s condition upon arrival

Note: This guarantee only covers plant death, not minor cosmetic damage such as bent leaves, soil disturbance, or light bruising. These are normal during transit and do not affect the long-term health of the plant.

Other Shipping Methods (UPS 2-Day or 3-Day)

If you choose UPS 2-Day or UPS 3-Day shipping, we cannot guarantee live arrival due to the extended time in transit. You accept full responsibility for any damage or stress caused during shipping under these methods.

We will still do our best to package your plant safely, but please know that choosing slower shipping is at your own risk.

Cuttings & Nodes

Cuttings and unrooted nodes are sold as-is. We cannot guarantee rooting success and do not offer refunds or store credit for failure to root after purchase.

Variegation Disclaimer

Plants are living things — and their variegation (color patterns) can change over time. We cannot guarantee that your plant will retain the exact variegation shown in product photos. Refunds will not be given for changes in appearance after delivery.

How to Request Store Credit

If your plant qualifies for our Live Arrival Guarantee, please:

Contact us within 24 hours of delivery via email or Instagram DM

Include:

Your order number

An unboxing video showing the plant in original packaging

A short explanation of the issue

Once reviewed and approved, we’ll offer you one of the following:

A store credit equal to the plant’s value

A replacement plant, subject to availability
(Shipping costs are non-refundable)

What’s Not Covered

We do not offer refunds or credits for:

Cosmetic issues (bent leaves, dirt spills, light bruising)

Natural stress from shipping (unless plant is dead)

Damage reported after 24 hours of delivery

Plants shipped using any method other than UPS Next-Day

Failure to root unrooted cuttings or nodes

Damage due to improper care after delivery
